Compass Therapeutics, Inc., a Boston-based oncology biopharmaceutical company, seeks a Medical Director reporting to the Chief Medical Officer. This on-site role is in Brighton, MA with an expectation of four days per week in the office.

The ideal candidate has deep oncology drug development experience across multiple indications and modalities, a track record in early to late-stage clinical programs, and strong cross-functional leadership to drive medical initiatives and regulatory milestones.

Qualifications

• MD with oncology/immune-oncology background.
• 5+ years life sciences industry experience with oncology oversight.
• Clinical drug development experience and trial execution.
• Deep oncology knowledge and cross-functional teamwork.
• Knowledge of FDA/regulatory guidelines and cGCP audits.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive presence.

Responsabilités

• Drive medical initiatives and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead CRO relationships ensuring quality, safety, and GCP compliance.
• Monitor oncology trials, manage timelines, identify risks, and adjust protocols.
• Oversee data management, safety reviews, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations on site initiation and start-up.
• Build external KOL and investigator relationships.
• Review trial data to assess efficacy and safety.
