Job summary

American Oncology Network (AON) seeks a Medical Assistant to join our Fort Wayne team, supporting physicians with procedures, phlebotomy, and lab testing. You will perform vital signs, specimen handling, and prepare patients and rooms for exams.

The role requires one year of MA experience, BLS, a valid driver’s license, and strong English communication. Responsibilities include documentation, scheduling tests, and ensuring regulatory compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with laboratory procedures and phlebotomy; maintain quality control.
• Prepare specimens and slides; process lab tests and document results in EMR.
• Support physicians during procedures (bone marrow, paracentesis, pelvic exams) and coordinate outside testing.
