AONC American Oncology Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy oncology office in Fort Wayne, IN. The role includes phlebotomy, laboratory testing, QC, and instrument maintenance, with responsibilities spanning patient prep, data entry, and specimen handling in the EMR system.

Your day-to-day involves assisting with procedures, collecting samples, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards across all tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification is required by state; additional licensure as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing; maintain QC procedures.
• Document results in EMR and communicate findings to physicians.
• Prepare specimens and slides, and handle specimen processing.
• Maintain inventory and ensure regulatory compliance across the lab.
