Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Boulder is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support our oncology team. The role involves escorting patients, recording vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and assisting providers during visits and procedures.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, at least two years' experience in a clinical setting, and current CPR certification. We offer comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
• Minimum two years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
• Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtains necessary patient records and verifies consent prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Assists with delegated patient education and documentation.
• Obtains blood specimens as needed and administers injections as directed.
• Maintains exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Answers patient telephone calls for referral and prescriptions as directed.
• Schedules tests, procedures, hospital admissions, and follow-up appointments.
• Obtains new patient records and previous test results.
