Job summary

GenesisCare is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Coral Springs, Florida location. The role focuses on supporting physicians during initial consultations and performing a mix of administrative and clinical duties to ensure smooth patient care.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The position requires staying with the physician in the exam room and coordinating follow-up studies and documentation.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail, good oral and written communications skills.
• Must work well with multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Maintain licenses and/or certifications as applicable.
• 1-3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remain with physician at all times in the exam room unless asked to step out or sent to schedule a study.
• Assist the doctor in all aspects of the patient’s initial consultation, and weekly status checks.
• Perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of the Physician or Physician’s designee.
• Routine follow-up examinations and any emergency visits that are needed.
• Schedule and follow-up on all diagnostic studies that are ordered including proper documentation and obtaining physician's signature on test results.
