Job summary

Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and care teams in a busy oncology/hematology clinic. You will escort patients, collect preliminary data, and help prepare exam rooms while maintaining high standards of patient flow and documentation.

The role includes administering injections as delegated, assisting with procedures, and supporting scheduling and clerical tasks under supervisor guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CMA preferred.
• 0-3 years of medical assisting or nursing assistant experience considered an entry level requirement.
• Current BCLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and maintain patient flow.
• Record patient data and vital signs prior to visits.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and assist with procedures.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Support and adhere to clinic compliance and scheduling processes.
