Job summary

Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a busy oncology/hematology clinic. Under supervision, you will assist with exams, patient flow, and clerical tasks while maintaining patient care standards.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, recording vital signs, obtaining records, preparing treatment spaces, and coordinating with nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Certification in BCLS within 3 months of hire may be required.
• Entry level position with 0-3 years of medical assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with physician visits.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms and stock supplies as needed.
• Assist with exams and procedures; administer injections as delegated.
• Handle basic clerical tasks and schedule coordination.
