Job summary

Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in an outpatient oncology/hematology clinic. You will assist with exams, procedures, patient flow, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves patient data collection, basic clinical support, and coordinating care under supervision. Prior MA experience is not required, but relevant certification is preferred, with BCLS required within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Entry level position with 0–3 years of Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and physician offices.
• Record patient data including vital signs, weight, height, allergies, and meds.
• Obtain necessary patient records before treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
