Job summary

Alliance Cancer Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our Sellersville/Doylestown practices. The role involves assisting physicians, preparing exam/treatment rooms, and maintaining patient flow in an oncology setting.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, handling patient records, and performing injections as delegated by the RN or physician. The position requires a high school diploma and CMA preferred, with BCLS within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant required/entry level.
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Some state regulations may require specific certifications for Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data prior to visits (vital signs, height, weight, allergies, meds).
• Obtain necessary patient records prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain infection control and room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient calls and relay messages to physicians/nurses/pharmacists.
• Schedule management and basic clerical duties as directed.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistants program

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
