Job summary

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Flex) to join our oncology team. You will rotate across clinics, prepare exam rooms, record vital signs, and support EMR documentation. Travel between offices is required for this role.

We require CMA/RMA certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days, along with 1-2 years MA experience. You will contribute to compassionate patient care in a collaborative environment with clinical teammates.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with current CMA/RMA credential or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• 1-2 years MA experience in a fast-paced clinic setting.
• Proficient EMR usage and charting.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel between offices; reliable transportation required.
• Rotate across clinics, physicians and departments.
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before and between patients.
• Room patients; record vital signs and assessments.
• Manage patient charts and EMR documentation.
• Handle calls, referrals, and result notifications.
• Set up orders for transfusions, admissions, phlebotomy, and more.
• Assist with drug replacement programs and prescriptions folders.
• Coordinate special testing and physician requests.
• Provide extensive administrative support as needed.
