Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Arlington Heights, IL location. This full-time role offers hourly pay of $19.00–$24.00 with a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), HSA, generous PTO, and health and wellness perks.

Under direct supervision, you will assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical setting, promote efficient patient flow, and support clinic operations including scheduling and clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR Certification required (BLS).
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills highly desired.
• Oncology experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments in the electronic system.
• Provide collaborative nursing support.
• Maintain efficient patient flow.
• Assist with procedures as requested.
• Administer appropriate injections.
• Take vitals.
• Answer/return patient calls for referrals to physician or nurse.
• Attend to patient needs during treatment.
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments.
