Job summary

Merck seeks a senior leader to recruit, manage and develop a field-based medical affairs team focused on Gynecologic Oncology. You will coach, assess performance, and ensure compliance with FDA and related guidelines while driving education and scientific dialogue across a geographically dispersed region.

The role requires 3+ years in field-based medical roles, prior management experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• MD, PharmD, or PhD with demonstrated ability to lead and coach scientific/medical colleagues at all skill levels.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills with strong integrity and teamwork.
• Thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and other ethical guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and motivate a team in a changing environment.
• Previous oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, onboarding, training and management of a field-based medical team.
• Oversee performance management and development plans for Oncology RMSD.
• Communicate disease state support plans and execute agreed plans.
• Coordinate resource development and utilization to support team members.
