Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg 1 with a 36-hour work week and a weekend program. The role includes direct patient care, adherence to clinical protocols, and active participation in quality initiatives, backed by a $5K sign-on bonus.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, BLS, and 1 year of nursing experience, with BSN preferred. Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in applicable state(s).
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engage in nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and coordinate with care team.
• Deliver safe medication administration following protocols.
• Maintain high standards of charting and EHR documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and support ethically sound patient care.
