Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg 1 unit in Sheboygan County, WI. The role is full-time (36 hours/week) with a 0700-1900 schedule and a dedicated weekend program. A $5K sign-on bonus is offered along with additional weekend pay incentives.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining accurate EHR documentation. Professional development and ongoing education are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or state privileges where care is provided.
• BLS certification required; telehealth/virtual care licensure as applicable.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and coordinate with care team.
• Administer medications and therapies per protocols when needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Float to other units as needed within the service area.
• Uphold ANA Code of Ethics and ethical patient care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and aides.
• Pursue professional development and complete required education.
