Job summary

Genesis Cancer and Blood Institute is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse with IV therapy experience to support physicians and RNs in patient care. This onsite role requires an active LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and strong English communication skills.

The role includes administering chemotherapy under supervision, collecting lab samples, handling documentation in OncoEMR, training new staff, and occasional travel to multiple AON locations.

Qualifications

• LPN license with IV therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR and BLS certification required.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license for travel to clinics.

Responsibilities

• Safely mix and administer chemotherapeutic agents under physician orders and nurse supervision.
• Assist in obtaining lab samples and perform technical procedures with accuracy.
• Follow lab procedures for specimen handling and processing; dispose of biohazardous waste per OSHA guidelines.
• Document treatment in OncoEMR and prepare superbill to bill for services.
• Provide telephone triage and coordinate care with patients, families, and facilities.
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and placement of supplies; restock medications and enter charges in Nucleus.
