Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assesses and assists with managing patients total needs following physician orders with RN oversight.
• Performs routine nursing procedures under RN supervision.
• Meets established productivity standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of accessing ports including sterile technique.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medication administration as defined within scope.
• May delegate tasks to unlicensed staff within scope of practice.
• Provides patient-centered care in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Coordinates care with RN and other team members.
• Informs RN/physician of changes in patient condition.
• Educates patients and caregivers; uses teach-back method.
• Delivers accurate documentation and complies with regulatory guidelines.
• Participates in staff education and professional development.
