Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Oncology Services at Springfield Regional Medical Center. This role works with an interdisciplinary team, under RN supervision, providing skilled nursing care and administering medications to patients.

It is a part-time position with 24 scheduled hours per week and shifts from 7a to 7:30p, every third weekend. The ideal candidate holds an LPN license, BLS, and preferably 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state of employment.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS/PALS may be required for specialty areas.
• 1 year of clinical patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the nursing process with data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct nursing care and assists with patient care under supervision.
• Administers medications and treatments within scope of care.
• Performs phlebotomy services.
• Maintains infection control and safety guidelines.
