Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to support patients across a portion of the DFW West service area, with on-site presence in Granbury, Weatherford and Cleburne and remote support for Southwest Fort Worth and Azle. Hours are 8a–5p, Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate holds a CSWE-accredited MSW, LMSW (or working toward LCSW) and is bilingual in Spanish. The role focuses on counseling, resource coordination, and collaboration with the medical team to address

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from CSWE-accredited program.
• Minimum 3–5 years of MSW experience in healthcare; oncology/palliative care preferred.
• LMSW license or pursuing LCSW with an associate license.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with medical team to address emotional, social and financial needs.
• Participate in distress screening, care planning, and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate with community resources and facilitate transitions to survivorship care.
• Document interventions accurately in the EMR and educate staff on MSW roles.
