Job summary

UF Health Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville, Florida seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to support patients and families during cancer treatment. You will address psychosocial needs, navigate care systems, and connect with community resources while serving as the psychosocial lead on the treatment team.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, facilitate support groups, and help patients access services.

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential; oncology experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to facilitate small and large support groups.
• Sound clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of social work practice and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience creating informational materials.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Familiarity with local community resources and social services is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families throughout cancer treatment.
• Help patients and families identify needs and access appropriate health care and community services.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the treatment team.
• Facilitate support groups and engage with individuals, families, and groups.
• Identify, develop, and share community resources for patients.
• Work with community partners to strengthen support for patients and families.
