Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Phlebotomist) to collect blood samples and support comprehensive cancer and hematology care in a busy lab. You will draw blood, prepare specimens, run basic tests, and document results with accuracy and care.

The role requires attention to detail, compassion for patients, and the ability to travel between multiple sites. Training is provided, including shadowing and hands-on practice in an oncology-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year phlebotomy experience strongly preferred; recent graduates may be considered if proficient in drawing blood.
• Phlebotomy certification is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
• Experience in oncology/hematology environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other specimens from patients using proper phlebotomy techniques.
• Perform specimen analysis for chemistry, hematology, and immunology tests as directed.
• Assist with bench tasks and MLT duties where applicable.
• Process incoming orders and ensure complete and accurate information.
• Prepare specimens for shipment to reference labs with proper labeling and documentation.
• Maintain thorough documentation and logs for QA and compliance.
• Travel between locations to support operations across sites.
• Participate in training and apply feedback to improve skills.
