OHSU Community Hematology Oncology Laboratory seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform hematology, chemistry and urinalysis testing for clinic patients. The MLS ensures quality control, instrument maintenance, and accurate result reporting via EMR/LIS.

The role includes sample preparation, data validation, and cross-training in Beaker/EPIC systems. The ideal candidate has MT/MLS certification, or a 2-year MLT program with certification within 90 days, plus clinical lab experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field with MT/MLS certification within 90 days
• MLS/MT certification maintained; AMT optional
• Alternative but equivalent combos with 2-year program + certs within 90 days and 4 years clinical lab experience

Aufgaben

• Perform hematology, chemistry and urinalysis testing with accuracy and speed
• Prepare patient samples and verify specimen acceptability
• Validate results and report via EMR, LIS, Beaker and related systems
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments; troubleshoot issues
• Execute QA/QC tasks, document results, and escalate QC issues
• Manage inventory and order lab supplies; ensure dating on reagents
