Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Assistant for our busy medical oncology practice at Avon, CT. You will support providers with phlebotomy, specimen handling, and patient preparation for visits in a high-volume infusion center.

You will also manage scheduling, insurance precertifications, and communication with pharmacies, while maintaining strict patient confidentiality and accurate EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a phlebotomist.
• One (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for physician visits.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory specimen collection.
• Provide administrative support: scheduling, calling pharmacies, billing, and precertifications for chemotherapy.
