Job summary

Actalent in Oregon seeks a Pharmacy Technician - Admixture Technician to support oncology and infusion services. You will work in a sterile, clean room environment, performing IV admixture under USP 797/800 guidelines and collaborating with pharmacists and nurses.

You will verify orders, prepare and label medications, manage inventory, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A valid Pharmacy Technician certification and strong attention to detail are essential; prior oncology admixture

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience handling medications in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
• Ability to follow detailed preparation procedures with high accuracy.
• Understanding of sterile technique and medication safety principles.
• Experience with inventory management and medication handling.
• Familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
• Strong mathematical aptitude for dosage calculations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
• Concentration for repetitive, high-accuracy tasks.

Responsibilities

• Verify and prepare medications accurately per orders.
• Prepare hazardous and non-hazardous meds per USP 797/800 and safety rules.
• Sterile technique under hood in a clean room environment.
• Label medications accurately before administration.
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and rotating stock.
• Receive and document incoming inventory and verify accuracy.
• Review treatment schedules and assist with drug ordering.
• Maintain clean room standards and sanitation procedures.
• Coordinate with nurses, pharmacists, and providers for timely delivery.
• Respond to hazardous spills and emergencies per safety protocols.
• Schedule and coordinate pharmaceutical waste disposal per guidelines.
• Maintain active Pharmacy Technician certification and training.
