Job summary

Illinois CancerCare is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Admixture Technician to assist with IV preparations for oncology patients, including preparing and mixing chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, ensuring sterility and accurate dose calculations.

You will follow safety guidelines, maintain temperature logs, manage inventory, and support the pharmacy team with documentation and order preparation. Applicants should have pharmacy experience and licensure or be willing to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Technician License and National Pharmacy Technician Certification or plans to obtain.
• Two years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• IV admixtures and/or chemotherapy preparation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calculates BSA, dose basis calculations, and other protocol-based items.
• Prepares and mixes chemotherapeutic and biologic agents for administration with attention to sterility and safety.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and participate in ongoing oncology/hematology education.
