Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Colorado Springs is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support oncology patients in a fast-paced clinic. The role includes chemotherapy administration, patient assessment, venipuncture, pump management, and care coordination with physicians.

RN license and BLS are required; BSN is preferred, with a minimum of two years nursing experience, ideally in oncology. The position offers hourly pay between $34.00 and $45.00 and a focus on high-quality patient care.

Competenze

• RN license and current registration with state board
• BSN preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must maintain continuing education requirements
• Minimum two years nursing experience required, oncology experience preferred

Mansioni

• Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications under physician direction
• Maintains knowledge of drug reimbursement procedures and completes chemotherapy charge forms
• Assures pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies
• Demonstrates knowledge of ambulatory infusion pump use and maintenance, and documents pump usage
• Assesses patient and labs for dose modification with physician consultation
• Performs venipuncture and maintains central lines catheter devices
• Delivers medications with correct dosage, route and timing, and trains patient/caregiver on pump use at home
• Documents nursing assessments, patient teaching and medication administration in the chart
• Communicates all pertinent information and interventions to the physician
