Job summary

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast TX in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Oncology Infusion on a per diem/flex basis for day shifts. The RN will administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, provide patient education, and monitor infusion safety while documenting in the EMR.

Responsibilities include assessing vitals, nutrition, and potential toxicities, maintaining vascular access, and ensuring OSHA compliance with hazardous drugs handling.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Chemo/Bio therapy infusion certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy/biotherapy agents and document in the EMR.
• Provide chemotherapy/biotherapy/infusion education to patients and document in EMR.
• Maintain skills for starting peripheral IVs and accessing mediports/central lines.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor toxicities during infusions.
• Assess nutrition and vital signs, reconcile home medications in EMR.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations for hazardous drugs and PPE use.
