Job summary

Minnesota Oncology is seeking a skilled registered nurse for a 0.9 to 1.0 FTE position. The nurse delivers professional nursing care to patients under physician supervision, adheres to national and company standards, and supports age-specific needs across the adult and elderly populations.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, administer therapies and medications, document care accurately, maintain a safe work environment, and participate in ongoing oncology nursing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• 3+ years nursing experience, oncology preferred.
• RN license and current State Board of Nursing registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under physician supervision.
• Administer therapies and medications with correct dosage, route and timing.
• Obtain pre-authorization and consent forms when applicable.
• Assess patients, labs, and protocol for dose modifications; consult physician.
• Perform venipuncture, port access, and central line care.
• Document care and treatments accurately.
• Program infusion pumps and educate patients/caregivers.
• Maintain work environment and equipment; restock as needed.
• Participate in ongoing oncology nursing education.
