Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, seeks an experienced registered nurse to join the Radiation Oncology Infusion Room team. The role provides direct nursing care in accordance with policies, procedures, and orders, supporting multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver patient-centered cancer care. Schedule is 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• RN licensure with Alabama Board of Nursing required prior to hire date.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies, procedures and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
