Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology and Hematology Clinic at the Phillips Cancer Center in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time day-shift role supports a busy outpatient clinic with 80–90 patients daily and involves rooming patients, vital signs, IV placement, port access, and phlebotomy.

The RN will aid care coordination, collaborate with physicians and APPs, and document in the EHR while focusing on population health and chronic disease management.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• ONC certified RN preferred.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and performs triage in person and by phone.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administers medications, immunizations, and treatments.
• Provides patient education and self-management support.
• Coordinates referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Manages patient messages and results within scope.
• Supports prevention and population health outreach.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and stocked clinical environment.
• Documents care in the electronic health record.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
