Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL, is seeking an Oncology/Infusion Clinical Pharmacist to provide advanced pharmacotherapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will verify orders, manage complex regimens, and develop protocols with a focus on safe handling of hazardous drugs.

This 100% onsite role involves collaboration with oncologists, fellows, and residents, contributing to infusion/oncology care improvements and patient education within a community teaching

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Completion of postgraduate clinical training (PGY-1) or more than three years of clinical pharmacy with infusion/oncology required.
• BLS required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services for cancer therapy and infusion therapies.
• Verify and interpret medication orders; manage complex regimens.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols; oversee hazardous drug handling.
• Monitor therapy outcomes; screen for drug interactions and contraindications; reconcile oncology medications.
• Support transitions of care and reimbursement coordination; provide drug information and patient education.
