Job summary

Lone Star Oncology in Kyle, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, accurate and efficient patient care in an oncology setting. This FT role involves patient assessment, lab review, dose verification and administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive care under JBIs.

Responsibilities include triage, education for patients and caregivers, timely EMR documentation, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team. Occasional overtime and multi-site travel may be required.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy and supportive care.
• Ensure accurate dosing and patient identification per JBIs.
• Educate patients/caregivers about medications and side effects.
• Document treatment in EMR accurately and timely.
• Provide triage care and respond to emergencies as needed.
