Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD, seeks a registered nurse to coordinate, manage and communicate the plan of treatment to patients and families, under general supervision and in consultation with the medical oncologist and/or advanced practitioner.

The role supports triage, symptom management and patient education, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and uses clinical outcomes data to improve practice.

Qualifications

• RN license in Maryland
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Infusion/outpatient experience preferred
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate plan of treatment to patients and families
• Triages patients and patient issues; teaches disease and treatment concepts
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and use outcomes data to improve practice
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments; document in EMR
• Coordinate daily patient activities and communicate wait times with staff
