Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an oncology nurse to coordinate and manage the plan of treatment for patients and families. The role involves triaging, symptom management, and patient education, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and documenting in the EMR.

The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and communicate care, while supporting continuous quality improvement and adherence to GBMC values. Licensure and CPR are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification (Healthcare Provider) preferred, not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients prior to therapy; document labs, toxicity, pain and falls.
• Plan, implement and coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, labs, medications and follow-up.
