Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a licensed RN for an on-site role in the Ashburn area to provide safe chemotherapy administration, patient assessment, and education within a multi-site oncology practice.

You will document care in the EMR and communicate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes. The position requires hematology/oncology experience, current CPR/BLS, and a valid driver’s license for travel between clinic locations.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse with a nursing degree.
• Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care and non-oncologic agents as ordered.
• Assess patient condition, review labs and vital signs, verify doses and administer medications.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications and planned treatment course.
• Document treatment in EMR with accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team and respond to triage calls.
