Job summary

Oncology Consultants - Corpus Christi is seeking an RN to provide safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including patient assessment, lab review, dose verification and drug administration. The role follows JBIs and includes triage care and effective communication with the care team.

The RN will document thoroughly in the EMR, educate patients and caregivers, and respond to calls with appropriate prioritization. The position may require travel between clinic locations and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Certifications/Licenses: Unencumbered RN License in state of employment or multi-state license. Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents as ordered by providers.
• Provide triage care and patient education; document in EMR.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and treatment course.
• Communicate patient condition effectively to multidisciplinary team members.
