Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. in Corpus Christi is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, accurate and efficient patient care in an oncology setting. You will review labs, monitor vitals, verify doses and administer medications per JBIs while communicating patient condition to the care team.

You will educate patients and caregivers about treatments, manage triage calls, and ensure proper documentation in the EMR. Willingness to work at multiple locations and overtime as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or multi-state license
• Current CPR and BLS certifications
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive care.
• Triage and educate patients and caregivers about medications and treatment plans.
• Document in EMR thoroughly and timely.
• Ensure correct charges for medications and activities.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist in training new staff per JBIs.
• Work at multiple locations as needed and occasional overtime.
• Follow all federal and state laws and disaster plans.
