Job summary

Oncology Consultants - Corpus Christi is seeking an experienced registered nurse to support chemotherapy administration and comprehensive patient care in a multi-site oncology setting.

You will assess patients, review labs, and provide education to patients and families while documenting in the EMR and following JBIs. Occasional travel to other clinic locations and overtime may be required to meet patient and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required.
• Unencumbered RN license in state of employment.
• CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid Driver's License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients.
• Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents as ordered.
• Review labs, vital signs, and dose verification; maintain patient safety.
• Document treatment in EMR thoroughly and timely; ensure proper charges.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects, and treatment plans.
• Provide triage care over the phone; prioritize messages and coordinate care.
• Assist in inventory and stocking of medical supplies; ensure confidentiality of information.
