Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in the Pittsburgh region seeks a Regular Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse, ONC (RN) to float among Oncology offices in Beaver, Moon/Sewickley, and Cranberry. The role offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, and a daylight schedule Monday through Friday as a Treatment/Infusion nurse.

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse providing patient care with leadership, collaboration with physicians, and delivery of high-quality oncology services

Qualifications

• The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team.
• Manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients.
• Role includes leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision.
• Establishes collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Acts to participate in quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities to improve patient satisfaction.
• Demonstrates accountability for professional development and contributes to the care team and practice environment.
• Maintains productive relationships and communicates safety hazards identified in the workplace.
• Applies teaching to patients and families to guide care and transition between levels of care.
• Creates a healing environment by using Relationship Based Care and formulating daily goals and plans of care.
