Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC is seeking a licensed practical nurse to support oncologic patient care across clinics. The role includes assisting physicians and RNs, administering and preparing chemotherapy, patient assessments, documentation, and patient education.

Ideal candidates hold an active FL LPN license with IV therapy experience and oncology background, plus CPR/BLS certifications and a valid driver’s license to travel between clinics.

Qualifications

• Active Florida LPN license required.
• Experience in IV therapy in clinic or hospital is preferred.
• Prior Oncology experience preferred.
• 30 hour IV certification course OR completion within 90 days of employment.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• BLS required upon hire or within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course).
• Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license to travel to clinics.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and RNs in the care of patients by performing one or more of the following duties.
• Administering chemotherapy agents.
• Preparing chemotherapy agents.
• Patient assessments/triage.
• Medical record documentation.
• Patient/family education.
