Job summary

Alliance Cancer Specialists is seeking a Physician Dispensing Assistant / MID Tech to join our oncology-focused team. The role emphasizes accurate patient records, medication safety, and efficient prescription processing in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires retail pharmacy experience and a Certified Pharmacy Technician credential where mandated by state law. You will support patient financial assistance and ensure access to oral cancer therapies.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a retail pharmacy setting preferred.
Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate recommended, unless required by state law.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate patient records (demographics, medication lists, allergies, insurance, prescriptions).
Screen for drug interactions using pharmacy management systems.
Process prescriptions, bill insurance, and submit prior authorizations.
Assist patients with financial assistance programs for high-cost oral medications.
Order cost-effective drugs and manage recalls/returns.
