Job summary
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a full-time Day Shift Registered Nurse, Manager for the Dedicated Oncology Unit. The Clinical Nurse Manager will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and partner with oncology leaders to deliver high-quality patient care in a 36-bed inpatient unit specializing in cancer therapies.
The role requires a BSN, RN license, and at least one year of management experience, with a strong emphasis on leadership, teamwork, and budgetary
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, graduate degree preferred.
- One year of management experience required.
- Two years in a leadership RN role or equivalent may be accepted in lieu of formal management experience.
Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for daily operations of the clinical area.
- Supervises patient care staff; ensures patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Interviews, hires, develops and retains staff to build a reliable team.
- Assists in unit budgeting, purchasing and payroll processes; provides clinical guidance to the team.
