Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital seeks a full-time Day Shift Registered Nurse, Manager for the Oncology Unit. The Clinical Nurse Manager will supervise nursing staff, ensure safety and quality, and guide budget and staffing needs. BSN is required, MSN preferred, with at least three years of RN experience and one year in management.

BLS must be current within 90 days of hire. This role supports advanced oncology care in a large network.

Qualifications

• BSN required; graduate degree preferred.
• Three years of RN experience required.
• One year of management experience required; may substitute with two years in a leadership RN role.
• RN license required; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the oncology unit and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Interview, hire, and develop staff to build a reliable team.
• Coordinate budget, payroll, and unit resources; act as clinical resource for team members.
