Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research seeks a Clinical Pharmacist, Investigational Drug Section, to verify medication orders, oversee IDS dispensing, and provide patient counseling within a high-autonomy environment. You will supervise technicians, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate documentation and drug accountability for early-phase oncology trials.

Location: START Dallas Fort Worth, 900 W Magnolia Ave, Fort Worth, TX.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Current State license.
• Hospital/clinic pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with sterile compounding requirements for chemotherapy agents.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EMR/pharmacy software familiarity.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders including accuracy of dosages and study eligibility.
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of IDS medications with staff supervision.
• Provide patient medication counseling and drug information to healthcare team and patients.
• Oversee inventory documentation and usage projections for IDS and conventional meds.
• Assist with maintaining investigational documentation and study personnel interactions.
• Review new protocols and amendments and associated forms.
• Maintain IDS drug accountability reports and EMR entries.
• Support overall pharmacy department operations and accurate order entry.
