Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research seeks a Clinical Pharmacist for the Investigational Drug Section to oversee medication orders, dispensing, and documentation for investigational and oncology medications. The role emphasizes patient education, drug information delivery, and adherence to IDS SOPs and QA guidelines.

Responsibilities include supervision of technicians, inventory management, protocol reviews, and maintaining EMR accuracy, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule at our West Valley

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy graduate.
• Current State pharmacy license.
• Hospital/clinic pharmacy experience.
• Sterile compounding familiarity (chemo, USP 797/800).
• Proficient with EMR and pharmacy software.
• GCP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders for accuracy and eligibility.
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of IDS medications and IV admixtures.
• Provide patient counseling and drug information to healthcare team.
• Manage inventory and documentation for Phase I and conventional meds.
• Assist technicians with documentation and protocol adherence.
• Review new/amended protocols and forms.
• Generate reports from IDS drug accountability system.
• Enter accurate orders and maintain home medication records in EMR.
