Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Dallas unit seeks a Registered Nurse for the Oncology ICU to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The RN will educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-management, while integrating evidence-based practices and quality initiatives to improve outcomes across the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• BSN required within 24 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year ICU experience.
• Current TX RN license or compact license.
• Current BLS provider.
• ACLS required within six months of hire.
• ONS chemotherapy biotherapy certificate within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the RN Oncology ICU.
• Collaborate with medical providers and care team to implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, plans, medications, and follow-up steps.
• Apply evidence-based practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and outcomes.

Skills

One-year ICU experience

BLS provider

ACLS within 6 months

Oncology chemotherapy knowledge

Education

Accredited School of Professional Nursing

BSN within 24 months of hire
