Job summary

Medical City Plano seeks a Med Surg Oncology Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a major Texas hospital. You will collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and adherence to nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

Core duties include admission assessments, medication administration, prompt response to patient needs, and educating patients and families about treatment plans and potential side effects.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by state.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during shifts with timely reporting of changes.
• Administer medications and document care in medical records.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and advocate for patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, meds, and follow-up care.
