Mercy South's David M. Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis is seeking an Outpatient Specialty RN to join the Oncology & Hematology team.

You’ll work with physicians and a collaborative care team to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting, handling assessments, treatments, education, follow-up, and care coordination. Whether you bring oncology experience or are growing into specialty nursing, you’ll partner with clinicians to support patients through their care

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Previous experience is not required.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients, review medical histories, obtain vital signs, and assess patient conditions.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist physicians with patient care and specialty procedures.
• Provide patient education and help patients understand their plan of care.
• Respond to patient questions, test results, and follow-up needs.
• Coordinate care and collaborate with physicians and other members of the care team.
• Assist with laboratory, imaging, and referral needs.
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record.
• Maintain proper medication handling and safety practices.
• Support infection prevention and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms.
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations within the clinic.
