Job summary

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required and valid RN license in state of employment.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in clinic or hospital.
• Ability to assess patient needs and respond in emergencies.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy and supportive care as ordered.
• Monitor labs, vital signs and patient status; document in EMR.
• Provide patient and caregiver education on meds, side effects and treatment plan.
• Triage calls and messages; coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure accuracy of medications and proper biohazard disposal.
