Banner Gateway Med Ctr in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Oncology unit. The role supports admissions, charting, and discharge processes, while coordinating with clinicians to ensure smooth patient flow on a Magnet-designated campus.

The position offers a day shift (three 12-hour shifts per week) with weekend/holiday rotation and shift differentials. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required with general clerical experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy preferred.
• Prior hospital or physician office experience desirable.

Mansioni

• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Processes patient admissions and assigns beds in the system.
• Maintains complete patient records and scans chart forms.
• Coordinates patient discharges and schedules procedures.
• Monitors supplies and maintains equipment in working order.
• Acts as liaison between physicians, nurses, and external contacts.
