Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking Float Pool Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our statewide Float Team. These roles require coverage across Medical, Radiation, and Infusion units, rotating through clinics across the region or state. Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• 1-5 years of nursing experience (Oncology strongly preferred).
• Current and active RN license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in alignment with national standards and company guidelines.
• Serve as a clinical resource and liaison across diverse assignments.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate patient care.
• Conduct health assessments, obtain histories, and provide education.
• Offer psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Administer therapies and manage venipuncture and central lines.
• Monitor labs, adjust doses per protocol, consult with providers.
• Manage triage calls and document accurately.
• Assist patients in accessing community resources.
